This “Bucket Mouse” character is never found in the game, nor does Link receive any explanation from Ulrira. It turns out that this was a mistranslation of “Bucketmouth,” which was an actual fishing shop in Osaka, Japan that was frequented by programmer Kazuaki Morita. The owner of Bucketmouth was also programmed into Ocarina of Time, where he appropriately served as the owner of the Fishing Pond. Once again, Morita’s love of fishing pops up across the Zelda universe.
