<Sanqui> hey GlitterBerri
<~GlitterBerri> hoi
<Sanqui> the pokémon move, vice grip, or はさむ
<Sanqui> we can't seem to agree whether it's a clipping action or merely an imposing one
<Sanqui> I use jisho and it shows two possible verbs: http://jisho.org/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&keyword=%E3%81%AF%E3%81%95%E3%82%80
<Sanqui> do you think it's possible to determine whether it's meant to be 挟む or 剪む?
<~GlitterBerri> I'd translate it as to cut
<~GlitterBerri> hasami = scissors, literally "cutters"
<~GlitterBerri> Isn't the move used by things with claws or whatever?
<Sanqui> it's generally used with pincers
<~GlitterBerri> well then \o/
<Sanqui> and crab claws

@sanky: animace ukazuje stříhání (až do III. generace). A jisho uvádí 剪む – "to clip; to snip".

sanky:
IMO tu žádné střihnutí nebo šmikání není, druhý pokémon je pouze uchopen a stlačen
haha, a hasami může být 鋏 (nůžky) nebo 螯 (klepeta)
hasami opravdu znamená nůžky: http://jisho.org/search/%E3%81%AF%E3%81%95%E3%81%BF
(tohle je hasamu)
